A ceramic aroma oil burner is a simple but beautiful way to fill your home with natural fragrance. Most (but not all!) of our house miniatures have a chimney that is specifically for aroma oils. The heat warms a blend of water and essential oils, slowly releasing scent into the room.

  1. Place on a stable, heat-safe surface. Keep the burner away from curtains, books, or anything flammable.
  2. Put some water in the chimney. Start off with a teaspoon, then adjust based on how much smell you want. Add your essential oils. Start off with a couple of drops, then adjust based on how much smell you want.
  3. Light the tea light. Place a tea light in the chamber below and light it. The candle flame heats the chimney from underneath, gently warming the water and oil blend. Enjoy for 30–60 minutes. The fragrance will build slowly as the water heats. Top up with a little water if the session runs long.
  4. Extinguish safely. When you're done, blow out the tea light or use a snuffer. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
